Peter Fecci, MD, PhD, was featured in the most recent episode of The Immunology Podcast.
Fecci discussed using T cells to target brain tumors and the work that his lab is doing to target MHC-I-negative tumor cells. His lab’s work is focused on brain tumor immunology, immunotherapy, and T cell dysfunction in glioblastoma.
“I think of it as a chess match with these cancers,” Fecci said in the podcast. “They’re quite a few moves ahead of us and we’re trying to catch up, but they have thought of a lot of these things over however many thousands of years of evolution. We’re just figuring out all of the things these tumors, particularly in the brain, are actually able to do to shut us down.”
