Duke Children’s was the highest ranked for neurology and neurosurgery in North Carolina in the most recent rankings by US News & World Report.

According to US News & World Report, the following factors account for most of a hospital's score in their rankings: Survival following complex surgery, surgical complications, infection prevention, and the availability of services such as specialized epilepsy treatment and rehabilitation.
