Andrew Cutler Receives Snyderman Award

The Institutional Committee for Graduate Medical Education has selected Andrew Cutler, MD, a fifth year resident in Neurosurgery, as the recipient of the annual Ralph Snyderman, MD, GME Research Award. Established in 2004, the award recognizes excellence in graduate medical research.

The committee selected Dr. Cutler from a strong pool of applicants for his research project entitled, “Development and Implementation of the Surgical Autonomy Project: Social Learning Theory applied to Competency-Based Surgical Education.”

“We had a record number of submissions this year, and the multidisciplinary panel of reviewers chose Andrew's project as the  winner,” says Associate Medical Director of Graduate Medical Education David A. Turner, MD. "We look forward to seeing his future work in this area."
